Checking one more thing off of my list of stuff to accomplish….Marie took me kayaking today!
We loaded up and headed out to Lake Lowell. Despite having lived about 10 miles from it for almost 2 years, I had never been there. It is a smallish lake and perfect for something like this.
After some initial laughter from Marie on my ‘technique’ and the fact that I have absolutely NO rhythm, we finally got something of a groove going and made it all the way across the lake. The fish were jumping and splashing and in we saw some really big ones in the shallows on the other side!
We are a little sunburned, it was our warmest day yet this year, in the low 80’s, but we had a lot of fun!
